Education

At South Hills School we positively support and meet the child-centred themes set out in The Children’s Act.

While providing the approved child/teacher ratio, teaching practice at South Hills School ensures that all children receive amole attention appropriate to their individual needs.

We aim to ensure that children are encouraged to become a self confident yet considerate, polite and helpful individual, respectful of their peers and carers.

This approach is reflected in the reputation that South hills School enjoys. We have a very positive relationship with the Department for Education and Skills, and have consistently received excellent reports from OFSTED.

The Principal is a qualified primary teacher with over 25 years teaching experience, supported by a qualified teaching team. All our teaching staff in the nursery are Montessori trained or have certificates in Child Care.

The staff are available at all times to talk with parents. Open evenings are held to inform parents about curriculum and how it is delivered.

In this website we have tried to give you a clear picture of what South Hills School is all about. But it simply isn’t possible to capture the full atmosphere of this very special and unique school.

So why not come along and meet us. It would give us great pleasure for you to come and experience the exceptional environment for yourself. Just ring us on 01722 744971.
