The Barn Classes

For children aged 3½ - 4½ years old the staff ratio is 1:8.  The Barn class is split into 2 classrooms, Barn 1 (in the Loft) and Barn 2, and are based around the school sensory garden and indoor barn play area.  Both rooms provide excellent resources and a stimulating environment to play and learn.

Using the principles set out in the EYFS, we work towards your child becoming a unique child to have positive relationships and to learn and develop in an enabling environment.  The children follow a structured morning session which involves, circle time, free painting and drawing, maths and literacy activities and creative play.  The children are responsible for feeding the school animals and enjoy trips out in the minibus to the local swimming pool once a week.  Fridays are spent exploring and learning through their senses in our local woods just a short walk from the school.

Afternoon sessions include Gymnastics, Music and Dancing, French, Horse Riding, Computer Fun and much more.
